For Students

North Kansas City Hospital believes that partnering with our local schools is a great way to build relationships and encourage students interest in a career in healthcare.

Northland CAPS

North Kansas City Hospital partnered with the Northland school districts to become the premier healthcare partner with the Northland CAPS program. The CAPS program is designed to give hands-on experience to students who are interested in a career in healthcare.

School of Medical Laboratory Science

This 46-week clinical program allows students to complete their college senior year of instruction at the Hospital. The program acquaints students with instruments, procedures and clinical experiences found in a hospital laboratory as well as teaches them about disease processes and correlating them with lab results. Upon program completion, students are eligible to take the national registry exam to become certified Clinical/Medical Laboratory Scientists.

Our multifaceted program meets the varying needs of high school students who may be looking for a rewarding volunteer experience or who are aspiring physicians and healthcare professionals. This program provides a behind-the-scenes look at a full-service hospital.

Graduate Nurse Residency Program
