What is Northland CAPS?

The Northland Center for Advanced Professional Studies (Northland CAPS) program provides high school students in the Northland school districts (Kearney, Liberty, North Kansas City, Park Hill, Platte County and Smithville) with a pre-professional, innovative and entrepreneurial education through hands on, career-oriented experiences.

Northland CAPS students are immersed in professional environments while studying a curriculum developed by industry professionals and program instructors that makes classroom learning relevant to the work place. Students engage in project work directly with their professional mentors and are responsible for producing timely, accurate and authentic project results.
