Medical Assistant Academy

Meritas Health and Park University have teamed up to develop a unique educational training program to attract and retain medical assistants to MH practices.

Students in the 14-week program complete virtual coursework, one weekly skills lab at Park University and two weekly on-site MH clinic rotations. They are paid while they work through the program, and MH covers the cost of instruction. Following graduation, participants must work in an MH practice as medical assistants for at least 18 months. 

Medical assistants perform job functions, such as blood draws, injections, immunizations, dispensing medications and assisting with procedures.
