Flu-like Symptoms

Some types of chemo, especially those combined with immunotherapy, can cause flu symptoms, including:

• Appetite loss
• Chills
• Fatigue
• Fever
• Headache
• Muscle and joint aches
• Nausea

These symptoms may last up to three days. An infection or the cancer itself can also cause them. Let the doctor or nurse know if you have any of these symptoms.
