A Level II Trauma Center, North Kansas City Hospital’s Emergency Department is ready to provide the after-hours testing or healthcare your employees need when they need it most.
Emergency Occupational Medicine Services
After-hours care through our Emergency Department features an accredited lab that tests for drug and alcohol (breath), random, for-cause, post-accident, return-to-duty and follow-up testing. Once screening is complete, you'll receive a phone update within 24 hours, unless a non-negative result is received. Non-negative results may take 48-72 hours before a report can be made.

Have an employee in the ED? Our nurse liaison will monitor your employee's progress through the ED and contact your company representative with a status update the next business day.
If your employee is admitted to NKCH, the nurse liaison will keep the insurance carrier and your company representative updated on the employee's condition and progress.
