Another 200,000 people were involved in their care with these numbers only expected to grow over the next decade. Getting a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s or dementia can be lonely and frightening. It can be hard to know what to do next or where to turn. Since 2019, North Kansas City Hospital has offered classes and educational support to the dementia community. These classes have allowed individuals within the community to have their questions answered, learn about strategies to improve safety, and connect with other families.
