North Kansas City Hospital was recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the third Best Hospital in the metro area and tied for fourth Best Hospital in Missouri.

The hospital also received High Performing ratings in the following adult procedures and conditions: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Aortic Valve Surgery, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Colon Cancer Surgery, Heart Bypass Surgery, Heart Failure, Hip Replacement and Knee Replacement.



In this year’s Best Hospitals list, U.S. News & World Report assessed 4,554 hospitals nationwide. Only 603 of the hospitals assessed were recognized. NKCH was recognized at both the state and metro-area level. To earn a coveted U.S. News Best Hospitals badge and/or Best Regional Hospitals badge, hospitals must earn a Top 50 ranking in a medical specialty or High Performing ratings in a minimum of three procedures and/or conditions. Overall, NKCH ranked High Performing in eight procedures and conditions.
