Peripheral Neuropathy
Peripheral Neuropathy
Chemotherapy can damage peripheral nerves particularly in your fingers, hands and toes, but it also can affect your arms, legs or trunk. This peripheral neuropathy can cause numbness, tingling or pain in the hands and feet, decrease your ability to feel hot or cold, affect your balance, and cause a heavy or weak feeling in the arms and legs.
Physical therapy can help improve neuropathy symptoms, build strength, increase balance and keep you safer.
