Neurological Rehabilitation

speech language therapy

Conditions that affect your brain, spinal cord or another part of your nervous system not only require initial treatment but also rehabilitation. And that can take time. Know that our neurologic rehabilitation team at North Kansas City Hospital (NKCH) is here for you — and whatever you need on your recovery journey.

What is Neurologic Rehabilitation?

Neurologic rehabilitation is part of treatment for neurological conditions. It’s designed to improve or restore function, so you can be more independent. Treatment can also help you manage symptoms, such as pain, and improve the quality of your daily life.

At NKCH, our Rehab Services department includes physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech-language therapists. Together with your neurology team, they tailor a therapy plan to your specific needs and diagnosis. After all, your situation is unique to you.
