North Kansas City Hospital and Meritas Health is again among U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals for Maternity Care, earning a rating of “High Performing in Maternity Care (Uncomplicated Pregnancy)” for 2024. This is the second consecutive year NKCH and MH has received U.S. News’ highest award for maternity care.

“This is a tribute to the tremendous people on our perinatal care teams,” said Catherine Bonderer, MSN, MBA, RNC-OB, senior director of Maternal Child Health. “Their collective efforts and focus to provide hope and healing to every life we touch made this possible. Our goal is to raise the bar for maternity care by providing individualized care and setting an example for other hospitals to follow.”

The annual Best Hospitals for Maternity Care ratings are a resource for expectant parents to find the maternity care that best meets their family’s needs. U.S. News’ methodology evaluates labor and delivery hospitals on eight objective measures of quality.
