Northland residents have trusted North Kansas City Hospital and Meritas Health with their emergency needs for over 65 years. As a Level II Trauma Center, patients have access to lifesaving care when it is needed most.
Last year we served more than 78,000 patients in the Emergency Room. As one of the busiest ERs in the city, we rely heavily on computerized tomography (CT). Our CT scanner provides images every 13 minutes to support over 30,000 scans in the ER each year. CT scanners identify and diagnose many conditions and injuries, like bleeding or swelling in the brain, blood clots, internal bleeding, skull fractures, strokes and tumors.
To meet the growing healthcare needs of our community, we must purchase second CT scanner for our ER. This state-of-the-art CT scanner will enhance the speed accuracy of diagnoses and allow us to continue providing high-quality emergency care to our patients.
Donations to the CT scanner project are instrumental in bringing innovative technology to the Northland. Visit nkch.org/Giving or contact our Philanthropy team at 816.691.1445 or giving@nkch.org to support this project.
