Brian J. Wittek, M.D., FACS

Biography

Dr Wittek was born and raised in the Kansas City area. He is married to Dr. Reagan Wittek, who is an Ob/Gyn. He has two daughters, Lauren and Lucy. When outside of the hospital, he enjoys coaching soccer, running and fishing.

Care Philosophy

Area of Interest

Oncologic: Cancers of the thyroid, breast, stomach, small and large intestine, spleen and skin cancers. Endocrine surgery: Parathyroid, thyroid and adrenal glands. Colorectal: Diverticular disease, colon cancer, and polyps with robotic and laparoscopic approaches. Hernia: Procedures for GERD and hiatal hernias, as well as incisional, ventral, umbilical and inguinal (groin) hernias with robotic and laparoscopic approaches. Breast: Biopsies, breast cancer related surgeries such as lumpectomy and mastectomy with and without lymph node biopsy and/or dissection, and insertion of radiation catheters. Minimally invasive surgery, advanced laparoscopic, and robotic surgery for hernias, colon surgery, GERD and other procedures. General procedures, including gallbladder removal, port insertions/removal, diagnostic biopsies, lipoma removal, excision of skin cancers and dialysis catheters.
