Michael Kallenberger, PharmD, BCPS, DPLA

PGY-1: Required - Learning and Education; Required - Research

Michael KallenbergerMike Kallenberger is the PGY-1 Residency Program Director.

Dr. Kallenberger earned his doctorate degree in pharmacy from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and graduated from Truman Medical Center’s PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency program.

His professional interests include cardiology and infectious disease. At North Kansas City Hospital, Mike serves on the Research and Innovation Council. In his personal time, he enjoys listening to music, watching professional baseball and running/working out.

 

Megan Musselman, PharmD, MS, BCPS, BCCCP, BCEMP, DPLA, FCCP, FASHP

Megan MusselmanMegan Musselman is a clinical pharmacy specialist in Emergency Medicine and the PGY-2 Residency Program Director in Emergency Medicine. 

Dr. Musselman earned her doctorate degree in pharmacy from Creighton University School of Pharmacy. She completed the PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency program at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and the PGY-2 Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Residency at Detroit Receiving Hospital. She also earned a master’s degree in clinical Toxicology from the University of Florida.

Megan's professional interests include toxicology and neurocritical care. At North Kansas City Hospital, she serves on the ED Subcommittee and the Sepsis, Trauma, STEMI, Code Blue and Stroke Committees.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and being outdoors.


Megan Bassett, PharmD, BCPS

PGY-1: Required – Internal Medicine/Orthopedics; Elective- Pain Management & Palliative Care 

Megan BassettMegan Bassett is a clinical pharmacy specialist in Orthopedics/Pain Management at North Kansas City Hospital.

Dr. Bassett earned her doctorate of pharmacy degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and completed her PGY1 residency at Wesley Medical Center.

Megan’s professional interests are pain management and infectious diseases. She serves on the hospital's Pain Stewardship, Ortho-Spine and Hip Fracture subcommittees.

When Megan is not working, she enjoys spending time with friends & family, crafting and baking.


Julie Beck, PharmD, BCPS

PGY-1: Required - Orientation

Julie BeckJulie Beck is a clinical pharmacist at North Kansas City Hospital.

Dr. Beck earned her doctorate of pharmacy degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and graduated from North Kansas City Hospital’s PGY-1 pharmacy residency program.

Her professional interests include emergency medicine and psychiatry. She serves on the hospital’s Residency Advisory Committee.

When she’s not working, Dr. Beck loves being outdoors. Hiking, mountain biking and rock climbing are three of her favorite activities. Currently, she’s working on visiting as many national parks as possible. 


Madeline Burling, PharmD

PGY-2: Required Hospital Orientation

Madeline Burling

Dr. Burling earned her doctorate degree in pharmacy from The University of Kansas School of Pharmacy. She completed the Olathe Medical Center PGY-1 residency and PGY-2 Emergency Medicine residency at North Kansas City Hospital. 

Her professional interests include Emergency Medicine as it relates to trauma resuscitation, principles of hemostasis and safe medication use in emergency settings. 

In her spare time, she enjoys trying new restaurants around Kansas City with her friends, taking care of her plants, cooking and watching sitcoms. 


Olivia Burris, PharmD

PGY-1: Required - Intensive Care Unit - Cardiac
PGY-2: Required - Cardiac Intensive Care

Dr. Burris earned her doctor of pharmacy degree from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy. She completed her PGY-1 at Memorial University Medical Center and her PGY-2 in Emergency Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Her interests include critical care, emergency medicine, toxicology and infectious diseases. 

In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her family (two kids), running, reading and all things self-care related. 


Megan Hickey, PharmD, BCPS

PGY-1: Required - Longitudinal Ambulatory Clinic

Megan Hickey

Megan Hickey is a clinical pharmacist in ambulatory care at North Kansas City Hospital.

Dr. Hickey earned her doctorate of pharmacy degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and completed her PGY-1 pharmacy residency at SSM Health-St. Louis University Hospital.

Her professional interests include diabetic management, primary care and patient education.

When she’s not helping patients, Dr. Hickey loves hiking and other outdoor activities, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and pup.


Allison Roberts, PharmD, BCPS

PGY-1: Required - Internal Medicine - Renal and Dialysis

Dr. Roberts earned her doctorate at University of Missouri - Kansas City Pharmacy School. She completed her PGY-1 residency at North Kansas City Hospital. 

Her professional interests include internal medicine, renal disease and ambulatory care. She is a member of both the Renal Subcommittee and Maternal Child Subcommittee. 

Outside of work, Dr. Roberts enjoys spending time with her family and pets, listening to true crime podcasts, attending concerts, traveling and trying new recipes from the Great British Bake Off. 

 


Jeremy John, PharmD, BCPS

Jeremy John, PharmD

Jeremy John is a clinical pharmacist at North Kansas City Hospital.

Dr. John earned his doctorate of pharmacy degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. He completed Christian Hospital’s PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency program.

His professional interests include psychiatry, biostatistics, infectious disease and internal medicine.

When he’s not at the hospital, Dr. John enjoys running; reading about ancient history, art and science; visiting museums; traveling to other countries; and spending time with his wife, daughter and friends.


Sara Lauterwasser Taipale, PharmD, BCPS, BCCCP

PGY-1: Required - Neurotrauma Intensive Care Unit

Sara Lauterwasser, PharmDSara Lauterwasser Taipale is a clinical pharmacy specialist in the Neurotrauma Intensive Care Unit.

Dr. Taipale earned her doctorate of pharmacy degree from Drake University. She completed her PGY-1 pharmacy residency and PGY-2 critical care residency at Truman Medical Centers/University Health.

Her professional interests include neurocritical care, traumatic brain injury management, sepsis/septic shock, and diabetes management in critically ill patients. She serves on the ICU Subcommittee, Critical Care Clinical Practice Council and Sepsis Committee.

Outside of work, Dr. Taipale enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending sporting events, traveling, and watching home improvement/renovation shows.


Douglas Nulph, PharmD, BCEMP

PGY-2: Required - EM Fast Track

Dr. Nulph received his doctorate at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. He completed his PGY-1 at the Methodist University Hospital and his PGY-2 in Emergency Medicine at North Kansas City Hospital. 

His professional interests include toxicology and antimicrobial stewardship. He is involved in both the Trauma Subcomittee and PGY-2 Residency Advisory Committee. 

In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis and volleyball and traveling. 

 

Gadison Quick, PharmD, BCPS

PGY-1: Required - Internal Medicine - Cardiac Progressive Care

Dr. Quick received his doctorate at University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Pharmacy. He completed his PGY-1 residency at Truman Medical Center and his PGY-2 in Internal Medicine at Medicine Prisma Health Richland Hospital. 

His professional interests include cardiology, infectious disease and hepatology. He is involved with the CV Subcommittee. 

Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, fishing, hiking and cooking. 

 

Anna Schaben, PharmD, BCEMP

PGY-2: Required - EM Introduction

Anna SchabenAnna Schaben is an ED clinical pharmacist at North Kansas City Hospital.

Dr. Schaben earned her doctorate of pharmacy degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and graduated from North Kansas City Hospital’s PGY-1 pharmacy residency program and the PGY-2 emergency medicine residency program.

Her professional interest is emergency medicine including trauma and antimicrobial stewardship. She serves on the hospital’s PGY-2 Residency Advisory Committee and Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee.

While not working, Dr. Schaben loves spending time with her dogs Kaycee and Moe. She also loves new adventures such as traveling across the world, shark fishing, and sky/scuba diving.

 

 

Haleigh Stolte, PharmD, BCPS

PGY-1: Required - Internal Medicine, Cardiac/Neuro Progressive Care

Haleigh StolteHaleigh Stolte is a clinical pharmacy specialist at North Kansas City Hospital.

Dr. Stolte earned her doctorate of pharmacy degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and completed her PGY-1 residency at North Kansas City Hospital.

Her professional interests include acute ischemic stroke, heart failure and anticoagulation management. She serves on the Stroke Subcommittee and Cardiology Service Line subcommittee. 

In her free time, Dr. Stolte’s interests include exploring Kansas City’s restaurant scene, watching reality TV, cross stitching and playing golf.

 

Monika Totoraitis PharmD, BCOP

PGY-1: Required - Antimicrobial Stewardship; Elective - Infectious Diseases 
PGY-2: Required - Antimicrobial Stewardship

Monika TotoraitisMonika Totoraitis is the clinical pharmacy specialist for infectious diseases/antimicrobial stewardship at North Kansas City Hospital. 

Dr. Totoraitis earned her doctorate of pharmacy degree from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy and graduated from the Pharmacy Residency program at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. She is on the hospital’s Infection Control Committee and Antimicrobial Stewardship Subcommittee.

Professionally, she is one of many antimicrobial stewardship pharmacists on a mission to save antibiotics. When she’s not saving antibiotics, she enjoys traveling and cooking.
