Interventional Cardiologist


Seeking BC/BE Interventional Cardiologist with possibility of structural interventions to join Meritas Health/North Kansas City Hospital in the Kansas City Northland (Missouri) in a well-established practice. Work alongside 16 of the most respected and experienced cardiologists in the area (5 interventionalists, 3 electrophysiologists, 8 general cardiologists). This position would involve coronary interventions, including high risk interventions with Impella support. There is also the possibility of structural heart interventions, including Mitral Clip, PFO, TAVR, and Watchman if desired. The program is supported by three cardiothoracic surgeons on staff.

Services are provided at North Kansas City Hospital, 451-bed, level 2 trauma center with 21,000 admissions and 70,000 ER visits. Hospitalists admit and manage patients. Dedicated ICU for cardiovascular services/open heart surgeries. Cerner is clinic and hospital EMR. Established TAVR program, Watchman, MitraClip, CardioMEMS, heart failure clinic, cardiac rehab program and anticoagulation clinic. NP/PAs assist with hospital rounding, discharge education and weekend rounds.

This position is hospital employed through multi-specialty group, Meritas Health, a subsidiary of North Kansas City Hospital, comprised of 200 physicians. Referral base includes 70+ employed and 25+ independent primary care physicians in the community.
