For the second consecutive evaluation period, North Kansas City Hospital has earned Magnet® designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. This prestigious designation is the gold standard for nursing excellence. Only nine hospitals in Missouri are Magnet hospitals, and in the U.S., fewer than 10% of the 6,093 active hospitals earn this designation. “For us to be able to achieve this after what we’ve gone through the last four years is amazing,” said Sarah Oakley, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, vice president and chief nursing officer at NKCH. “It’s the work of the entire organization that got us here.”
