About Me
Biography
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children, including teaching my children to cook. I also like to take time out to bicycle, hike and read nonfiction books.
Care Philosophy
I think it's important to understand my patient's goals so the patient and his or her family are part of our plan of care, which is especially important for patients who are critically ill and in the hospital.
Area of Interest
My interests focus on patients who have had a hemorrhagic stroke (when a weakened blood vessel ruptures) or an ischemic stroke (caused by a blockage in an artery supplying blood to the brain), as well as critically ill neurologic patients, such as those in status epilepticus (a single seizure lasting more than five minutes or two or more seizures within a five-minute period) with nonsurgical hemorrhages.
