Biography
Outside of work, I enjoy being outdoors and traveling.
Care Philosophy
When I am with patients, I do my best to be intentional. I believe mindfulness or being present in the moment is crucial in healthcare. I want my patients to know I have given their care my full attention. I also try to approach each interaction as I would want my family to be approached -- with competence and compassion. This is important to me because I believe it helps providers form partnerships with patients and families so they may better understand their conditions, treatment options and plan of care.
Area of Interest
I am particularly interested in postoperative cardiac surgery management. I enjoy reading upcoming research on how to improve outcomes and decrease hospital lengths of stay and complications, which allows me to share and educate nursing staff and other team members on how we can implement these strategies with our patients.
