George C. Lu, M.D.

Biography

When not working, Dr. Lu, his wife and 2 daughters enjoy taking good old fashion road trips across America and sampling local cuisine. Many weekends are also filled watching the girls in a soccer match or volleyball tournament. Dr. Lu also enjoys watching soccer, running, biking, and good food.

Area of Interest

Pregnancy is one of the unique times in medicine when our treatment or decision impacts at least two patients, and in some instances three or more. Despite the fact that women have been giving birth since the beginning of time, Dr. Lu feels that the field of obstetrics is only beginning to understand the complexities of pregnancy and how best to help women have safe pregnancies and healthy babies. Dr. Lu is constantly looking at ways to improve the care of women and their babies. He is a firm believer that patient care should be driven by the "best-evidence" available. However, since there is still so much to be learned, in many instances consideration of a person's unique situation has to be factored in the decision making process.
