Patient Family Advisory Council
North Kansas City Hospital's Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC) engages former patients and their family members in conversations about ways the hospital can continue improving overall patient experience, safety and outcomes.
PFAC Goals
- Advising on identified focus topics to improve processes with the goal of providing excellent patient and family experiences
- Being an active and cooperative participant in council meetings and/or activities
- Bringing new perspectives about the patient care received at NKCH/Meritas Health
- Providing timely feedback to improve and impact future patient care
- Being an advocate for patients and family members receiving healthcare services at NKCH/Meritas Health
- Serving as advisors on committees such as quality and safety, patient satisfaction, etc. as requested by NKCH/Meritas Health staff
- Championing NKCH/Meritas Health approved initiatives that enhance patient experiences, safety and outcomes for patients and families
The Voice of Patients and Families
The council includes seven patients and/or family members who have received care at NKCH/Meritas Health, as well as employees and leadership.
