Melissa Zalonis, BSN, RN, CDCES

Melissa is a registered nurse and certified diabetes care and education specialist. She has worked at NKCH since 1994 and in diabetes nursing since 2008. Currently, she serves as the program coordinator for the Living with Diabetes program. Melissa belongs to the hospital’s Speakers Bureau. She also is a member of the American Diabetes Association and the American Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists.

Erika Busby, BSN, RN, CDCES

Erika is a registered nurse and diabetes care manager for the Meritas Health Clinics. She works with our providers to assist patients in meeting their diabetes goals. She joined the Living with Diabetes team as a certified diabetes care and education specialist in 2024. Erika is a member of the American Diabetes Association and the American Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists.

Kelly Jantz, BSN, RN, CMSRN, CDCES

Kelly is a registered nurse and certified medical-surgical nurse. At NKCH, she is our inpatient diabetes educator. She has worked at NKCH since 2003. Kelly is a member of the American Diabetes Association and the American Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists.
