Biography
When not taking care of patients, Dr. Cowan enjoys spending time with his wife, three children and extended family. He also enjoys fitness, travel and cooking.
Area of Interest
Dr. Cowan is a Kansas City native who returns to join DFP as a Sports Medicine fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon. As part of his fellowship at the TRIA Orthopaedic Center in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, Dr. Cowan provided medical care for the NHL’s Minnesota Wild, MLB’s Minnesota Twins, Gustavus-Adolphus college football, and area high schools. His interests are in athletic injuries to people of all ages including ACL reconstruction, multi-ligamentous knee injuries, rotator cuff repairs and many more procedures for the knee, shoulder and elbow.
