Rohit Kesarwani, MD, has joined Meritas Health Neurosurgery. Born and raised in Toronto, Dr. Kesarwani completed his master’s degree in anatomy and cell biology at the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, Canada. After earning his medical degree from Saint Louis University, he was a resident in neurosurgery at the University of Alberta, Edmonton. From there, Dr. Kesarwani was a functional and stereotactic neurosurgery fellow at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. During that time, he was a neurological surgery clinical instructor at the University Hospitals.



A talented and well-respected neurosurgeon, Dr. Kesarwani most recently was a staff neurosurgeon with Neurosurgery of Saint Louis. He is board certified in neurosurgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.



Dr. Kesarwani provides all aspects of neurosurgical care, including for brain, spinal and peripheral nerve diseases, injuries and tumors. He has expertise in stereotactic brain surgery, which uses image guidance to target brain tumors. He also is skilled in functional neurosurgery for the treatment of chronic conditions, such as epilepsy and movement disorders, with electrical stimulation of the brain and spinal cord.
