Sarah J. Hon, DO, FAAN
Two organizations recently recognized Sarah J. Hon, DO, FAAN, a neurologist with Meritas Health Neurology.
The American Academy of Neurology appointed Dr. Hon to its prestigious Women Leading in Neurology Program. She is among only 12 women in the country selected for this honor. This empowering and inspirational program tackles gender disparities head-on and equips participants with high level executive skills, helping them further advance to top levels of leadership in their fields and within the Academy.
The Center for Practical Bioethics recognized Dr. Hon as a 2020 Ethics Champion. The organization strives to provide personal, professional and policy guidance on complex healthcare issues to individuals and groups locally and across the country.
Dr. Hon currently chairs North Kansas City Hospital’s Medical Ethics Advisory Committee, and she has previously chaired the Department of Medicine and the Medicine Advisory Committee. She is a board member of the Kansas City Medical Society, Kansas City Clinical Neuroscience Society and Missouri Kansas Neurological Society. She serves on a variety of committees at the American Academy of Neurology and has been an advisor for their Advocacy and Leadership Forum. She is chair of the Neurology Division of Specialty Medicine at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.
