U.S. News & World Report Ranks NKCH No. 3 Best Hospital in Metro and No. 4 Best Hospital Statewide


North Kansas City Hospital was recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the third Best Hospital in the metro area and the fourth Best Hospital in Missouri. Additionally, the hospital received High Performing ratings for the following procedures and conditions: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Aortic Valve Surgery, Colon Cancer Surgery, Heart Bypass Surgery, Heart Failure, Hip Replacement and Knee Replacement. NKCH also earned a High Performing rating in the medical specialty of Nephrology.

In this year’s Best Hospitals list, U.S. News & World Report assessed more than 4,500 hospitals nationwide. Of those hospitals, only 569 were recognized as a Best Regional Hospital in a state or metro area. NKCH was recognized at both the state and metro-area level. To earn a coveted U.S. News Best Hospitals badge and/or Best Regional Hospitals badge, hospitals must earn a Top 50 ranking in a medical specialty or High Performing ratings in a minimum of three procedures and/or conditions. Overall, NKCH ranked High Performing in one medical specialty and seven procedures and conditions.
